Richard B. Cheney is a distinguished American public servant, businessman, and politician. Cheney said that when he accepted the Republican nomination as vice president Cheney was looking forward to working alongside a President who works across the political aisle to achieve goals and will cooperate with opposition members in trust and respect. Richard Bruce Cheney was born in Lincoln Nebraska on January 30 1941. He was the father of Richard Herbert Cheney and the former Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. When he was 13 years old, he moved with his family into Casper within the Western part of Wyoming and his father ran the local soil conservation district for the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
